Description

Amazon NATURAL SOIL & SAND MIX: A loose 10-litre substrate blending natural soil and sand, ideal for tortoises and other burrowing species and a welcoming base for enclosures and tortoise tables. ENCOURAGES NATURAL DIGGING: The soil-and-sand blend holds its shape for tunnelling, encouraging the natural digging and burrowing behaviours that help keep your tortoise active and relaxed. ADDED LIMESTONE FOR CALCIUM: Added limestone provides a calcium boost if ingested and improves absorption, while good drainage soaks up waste and helps reduce enclosure odours. EASY TO KEEP CLEAN: Spot clean with a sieve to lift out waste and extend the life of the substrate; we recommend a full replacement around once a month to help prevent shell rot. PERFORMS UNDER HEAT LAMPS: Holds up well beneath a heat lamp and can be used alone or mixed with tortoise bedding or sphagnum moss to suit your species.
