Yixing Clay Fortune Cat Tea Figure is a beautiful Yixing clay figurine used during the traditional tea ceremony. If you have ever seen the Chinese Gunfu Cha tea ceremony in China, you probably noticed that almost all tea trays (Chaban) have a clay figure. This is a small piece of clay art from Yixing, which is constantly bathed during the tea ceremony as a wish of luck and fortune. You can wet your tea figure with the hot water you used to warm the tea utensils before drinking or you can use the water you washed the tea leaves with at the beginning of the ceremony. In China, tea figures are revered in the same way as pets, although they are essentially small items intended to decorate the tea tray.
