It is the divinity of wisdom, happiness, and longevity. The term by which it is identified comes from the combination of Fuku = Happiness, Roku = Wealth and ju = Long Life. It’s depicted as a man with a high forehead, bald and long mustaches, always wearing a stick. Its companions are a turtle (symbol of long life) and a crane (symbol of wisdom).
