General description These TechFast Timber to Steel CSK/Wing Screws are specifically designed for joining timber to steel frames in construction projects. They feature breakaway wings that create a clearance hole to prevent thread engagement in timber during drilling. Upon contacting the metal surface, the wings ream a hole and break off, allowing the screw to engage with the steel. The screws are equipped with a TORX® compatible insert for higher torque transmission and improved countersinking with recessed ribs.
