The Dark Silkie Moscatel Finish is the first release that sees the Dark Silkie recipe further matured in a finishing cask. Combining Dark Silkie’s signature rich smoke character with the sweet stone fruits of the Moscatel cask brings together influence from these two geographical peninsulas, Setubal, Portugal, and Sliabh Liag, Donegal. COLOUR: Amber, rich tobacco gold. NOSE: Fresh apple and pear with spiced dry smoke and welcoming virgin oak TASTE: The Dark Silkie's signature softness develops to a rich salted caramel sweetness. Waves of sweet pipe tobacco, liquorice and dark chocolate give way to warm toffee and pear. FINISH: Warming elegant finish of malty smoke and peanut butter.
