Timco Plasterboard Screws Coarse Thread (Black) in 3.5 x 42 mm are designed to secure sheets of plasterboard to timber studs. These screws feature a fully threaded design with a bugle head and a 25° sharp point, making them suitable for drywall applications. They are made from C10-18 steel and surface hardened up to 750 HV to prevent torque shear under load, and are plated in either zinc or black phosphate to resist corrosion. Each box contains 1000 screws. The fasteners are manufactured to JIS B1125 (1995) and independently tested to IFI specification ASTM C1002-89, with a 25 Super Sharp point. They are fully threaded up to 50 mm, and partially threaded thereafter as needed for fastening plasterboard to timber studs. Salt spray resistance is demonstrated for 50 hours. A free PH2 driver bit is included to aid installation.
