This traditional heavy-duty woodscrew is designed primarily for timber-to-timber applications and for attaching ironmongery to timber or into masonry when used with a nylon plug. It may require pilot holes in certain hardwoods. The screw features a hexagon head, conforms to the DIN 571 standard, and is zinc plated and passivated. The thread length is two-thirds of the overall length, so for a 100 mm screw the thread length is approximately 60 mm.
