A traditional heavy-duty woodscrew designed for timber-to-timber connections, attaching ironmongery to timber, or securing timber into masonry with a nylon plug. It features a hex head, zinc-plated and passivated finish, and a 60° self-tapping thread suitable for hardwoods and softwoods, as well as brick when used with a plug. The screw conforms to DIN 571 and BS EN 14592:2008 standards and is sized 12 x 80 mm. Thread length is approximately two-thirds of the overall length, with an example of about 60 mm of thread on a 100 mm screw.
