TIMco In-Dex Timber framing screws are a modern alternative to traditional coach screws, designed for timber-to-timber connections in structural building and landscaping applications such as decking, roofing, fencing, and railway sleepers. They feature a hex head and an 8 mm head size, a 150 mm length from underneath the head, and a gauge of 6.7 mm. The organic green plating is tested for a minimum of 1,000 hours salt spray resistance in accordance with BS EN 9227:2012. The screws include a 25-degree sharp point for easy penetration into wood and a 50-degree deep single thread for fast and secure fixing with high pull-out resistance, along with a Type 17 slash to reduce insertion torque and minimize the risk of timber splitting. A patented lubrication is designed to enhance insertion time and improve corrosion resistance, and the helix shank helps remove debris and improve clamping.
