This Classic Multi-Purpose Screw is manufactured from A2 Stainless Steel, delivering high corrosion resistance for use in softwoods, hardwood (pre-drilled), chipboard, MDF, and plastic. It features a double countersunk head to reduce the risk of head shear and aid countersinking, along with a 40° deep single thread designed to provide a secure fixing with high pull-out resistance. The screw is surface hardened up to 750 HV to prevent torque shearing under load, with a core hardness of up to 450 HV to improve ductility. A single slash on 25mm and longer lengths helps reduce torque and minimizes timber splitting when installed near edges. Sizes up to 75mm are fully threaded, while lengths of 80mm and above have a 70mm thread length. The screw combines the performance of a classic multipurpose fixing with the durability of stainless steel, making it suitable for applications where ultimate corrosion resistance is required.
