This is a single thread woodscrew designed for fastening into timber and man-made boards, or into masonry with the use of a plastic plug. It features a double countersunk head to reduce the likelihood of head shear and to assist countersinking. The screw is wax-lubricated to enhance insertion time, provide extra driving torque, and improve corrosion resistance. A 40° deep single thread offers secure fixing with high pull-out resistance, while a 25° sharp point and single lead enable a fast start and improved thread acceptance. Sizes up to 75 mm are fully threaded, and lengths of 80 mm and above have a 70 mm thread length. The product is specified as size 5.0 x 40 mm and constructed from gold-plated steel.
