The Classic Multi-Purpose Screw is manufactured from marine grade A4 stainless steel, delivering strong corrosion resistance for use in coastal and highly corrosive environments. It is designed for fixing to softwoods, hardwood (pre-drilled), chipboard, MDF, and plastic. When working in environments with corrosive characteristics or with base materials prone to corrosion (for example Green Oak), stainless steel fasteners should be used. Technical specifications include a size of 3.5 x 30 mm. All sizes up to 75 mm are fully threaded, and lengths of 80 mm and above feature a 70 mm thread length. The screw also incorporates a double countersunk head to reduce head shear and facilitate countersinking, along with a single slash on 25 mm+ to reduce torque and the likelihood of timber splitting when inserted near edges.
