Designed as an alternative to traditional coach screws, TIMCO Timber Screws are specifically made for timber-to-timber applications and suitable for external use due to robust construction and corrosion-resistant properties. The screw features an 8mm hex head countersunk with a fixed washer, and a patented multi-layer corrosion resistant plating. It withstands up to 1,000 hours in salt spray tests in accordance with BS EN 9227:2012, and includes a patented lubrication to enhance insertion time and improve corrosion resistance. The screw has a helix shank to remove debris and improve clamping, a 50° deep single thread to provide high pull-out resistance, a 25° sharp point with a single lead for a fast start and better thread acceptance, and is sized at 6.7 mm x 150 mm for timber-to-timber applications.
