TIMco In-Dex Timber framing screws are designed as an innovative alternative to traditional coach screws for timber-to-timber connections in a range of structural building and landscaping applications, including decking, roofing, fencing, and railway sleepers. The screws feature an organic green plating that provides corrosion resistance and salt spray endurance, with a 1,000-hour performance tested to BS EN 9227:2012. They are optimized for external use with easy penetration into all wood types, aided by a 25-degree sharp point. The 8mm hex head with a fixed washer, a helix shank for debris removal, and a 50° deep single thread contribute to fast, secure fixing and high pull-out resistance. A Type 17 slash reduces insertion torque and helps minimize timber splitting, while patented lubrication enhances insertion time and overall corrosion resistance.
