TOUPRET Wood Hardener is a water-based, deep penetrating formula designed to toughen rotten wood before filling or overcoating. It enhances adhesion for fillers and coatings on both interior and exterior wood surfaces, making it suitable for various applications. The product can be stained or painted with any type of conventional paint or coating and is supplied in a reusable tin with a brush included in the screw top. It preps substrates by penetrating and stiffening rotten or soft wood, helping to prevent premature peeling or blistering of subsequent repairs. After treatment, surfaces can be overcoated with conventional paints, varnishes, and stains, including those used on interior doors, windows, frames, skirting, decking, and garden timber. The hardener dries and can be painted after 24 hours, providing a ready-to-finish condition while preserving the wood grain and colour. The formula is compatible with Toupret wood fillers and supports both interior and exterior use, with application performed manually.
