This tool is a specialized router cutter designed for precise slotting and grooving across a range of materials. It features tungsten carbide tipped micro-granular tips, rated at 2.0mm, to maintain sharpness and durability suitable for softwood, hardwood, and man-made timber boards. The tip face is highly ground and polished to 1200-grit, enabling precise cuts and an extra-fine finish. The shanks are longer to accommodate a variety of applications on handheld and table routers, offering flexibility and convenience. The cutter is marked with EN Shank markings for visible cutter safety data and includes a Safety K‑Mark to help ensure proper shank positioning and strong collet grip. In addition to the cutter, the set supports biscuit jointing of timber, man-made fibre, and particle board with a router, and includes three bearing sizes to set the correct depth of cut for the three biscuit sizes. Technical specifications note a T.C.T. 1/2in shank.

Biscuit jointing details
For biscuit jointing of timber, man-made fibre and particle board with the router, the set includes three bearing sizes to set the correct depth of cut for the three biscuit sizes. A slightly longer cut than the length of the biscuit allows some lateral play for easy alignment during assembly. A water-based glue (PVA) is used with the biscuits and will expand as moisture is absorbed; boards are clamped together until the glue cures. For larger boards, biscuits can be doubled up by making two passes. Technical specification notes a T.C.T. 1/2in shank.
Safety K-Mark indicates correct shank positioning to ensure a secure collet grip.
