The BX50 MID is arguably the most compact ready-to-connect power meter with MID compliance on the market, making it the ideal solution for many tradesmen or service companies. The MID-compliant energy consumption meter can be easily plugged between the electrical device and a standard household earthing contact socket (230 V/AC) and requires no further installation effort. With the MID conformity of the BX50 MID, tested to EN50470-1/3, it is ensured that this meter can be used as regulated for commercial energy consumption determination for billing purposes. The BX50 MID is the only energy consumption meter in its class on the market with two integrated sealing slots (please note that the seals shown in the pictures are not included). MID-compliant meters comply with the European Meters Directive (MID), which defines the requirements of active power meters used for billing purposes. This also applies to energy consumption measurement for billing to insurance companies or customers. The previous initial calibration is replaced by the MID conformity, but the devices must be calibrated after a defined period – electronic meters in Germany, for example, after 8 years.
