Thanks to its built-in lithium-ion battery, the lamp can provide light for up to an average of 35 hours without being plugged in. The battery can be recharged via a USB-C cable. The Asteria collection was designed by the co-founder and Chief Creative Developer, Søren Ravn Christensen. The designer is self-taught and possesses the rare gift of combining design with economic efficiency. Speaking about his collection, he says: “The Asteria collection, which emerged at the intersection of design, technology and craftsmanship, features integrated LED lights in a sleek, minimalist form.” Together with the current CEO, Jacob Nannestad Hansen, Christensen founded the company UMAGE by VITA copenhagen in 2008.
