The Uni-Com Security Timer is an indoor plug-in device that makes your home look occupied by automatically turning lamps on and off in a random pattern when you are away. It helps deter burglars by creating the impression of activity. After dusk, the timer lights for approximately 2 hours under the Summer setting or about 4 hours under the Winter setting, then continues to switch lights on and off at random intervals throughout the night. It uses a built-in dusk-to-dawn sensor to ensure operation only in darkness, conserving energy. It is designed for standard lamps and lighting devices and requires no programming—simply plug in a lamp, switch on, and place the timer where the sensor can function properly. For enhanced realism, multiple timers can be used in different rooms.
