Description

Amazon MICRO BARB, EASIER RELEASE - A far smaller barb than a standard barbed hook: enough to help keep a lively trout pinned through the fight, yet much easier to back out at the net than a conventional barb. Vanfook pairs this model with the PL-41B, the same pattern made without a barb - pick that one where the water's rules require it; the PLB-49F is the choice where a small barb is allowed. CURVED POINT, HIGH HOOKING - Vanfook shapes this hook to set well regardless of tackle - rod stiffness or line choice - and finishes it with a curved point, rating its penetration 8/10 on its own scale. It hooks up on ultralight rods and light line without needing a hard strike. FLATTENED SHAFT, INLINE EYE - The medium heavy wire shaft is flattened to increase its strength and optimise its hardness, so the wire resists stretching open under load yet keeps enough give to stay pinned - Vanfook rates its holding 8/10. The straight inline eye drops into the split ring and swings freely, sitting flush under minnow-style lures. SIZE 8 FITTING GUIDE - Vanfook rates the PLB-49F for stream lures from small minnows under 4 cm up to minnows around 6 cm, with no per-size table published, so this is our own guidance: size 8 sits in the middle of the range - minnows of roughly 4-5 cm. Converting from trebles, go two to three sizes larger than the treble the lure came with: a 5 cm minnow on #12 trebles takes an #8 single. Twelve hooks per pack; also in sizes 6 and 10. PTFE ANTI-RUST, MADE IN JAPAN - The Fusso Black finish is PTFE coated with high anti-rust performance - Vanfook's own description - and scores the maximum 10/10 on the brand's anti-rust scale. Made in Japan by Vanfook and supplied as a pack of 12 in Fusso Black.
