The class-leading f/2 maximum aperture is a game-changer, allowing for breathtaking low-light photography, from stunning starry night skies to dramatic indoor scenes, all while maintaining fast shutter speeds and low ISO settings. This bright aperture also produces beautiful subject separation and a pleasing bokeh, a rare characteristic for a lens this wide.At the core of this lens is the acclaimed Zero-D (Zero Distortion) feature. This means your images will exhibit nearly non-existent optical distortion, ensuring that straight lines remain perfectly straight from edge to edge. This is an invaluable asset for architectural photographers, real estate professionals, and landscape artists who require geometric precision directly from the camera, saving countless hours in post-processing.Get closer to your subjects and unlock unique perspectives with an impressive minimum focusing distance of just 15cm. This capability allows you to create compelling wide-angle macro-style shots, emphasizing a foreground subject against a vast, sweeping background for dynamic and immersive compositions.Designed specifically for mirrorless systems, the LAOWA 15mm f/2 is surprisingly compact and lightweight for its specifications. It balances perfectly on Sony E-mount bodies, making it a go-to lens for travel, hiking, and all-day shooting sessions where minimizing gear weight is essential. Furthermore, it features a standard 72mm filter thread, allowing for the easy use of screw-in filters like polarizers and ND filters without the need for bulky and expensive holder systems. For hybrid shooters and videographers, the lens includes a practical aperture click-switch mechanism. This allows you to instantly switch between a clicked aperture for precise photographic control and a de-clicked, silent aperture for smooth, seamless iris pulls during video recording.Main Features* Ultra-wide 110° angle of view on full-frame sensors* Extremely fast f/2 maximum aperture for superior low-light capability* Zero-D design for close-to-zero optical distortion* Exceptional short minimum focusing distance for wide-angle macro effects* Lightweight and compact construction for excellent portability* Standard 72mm front filter thread for convenient filter attachment* Integrated aperture-click switch for both photography and videography applicationsAttributesObjectives, StandardTechnical Specifications* Product Code: VE1520SFE* Focal Length: 15mm* Maximum Aperture: f/2* Minimum Aperture: f/22* Angle of View: 110°* Format Compatibility: Full-Frame* Aperture Blades: 9* Minimum Focusing Distance: 15 cm (5.91 in)* Maximum Magnification: 1:4 (0.25x)* Focus Mode: Manual Focus* Filter Thread: 72 mm* Dimensions (Diameter x Length): Approx. 66 × 82 mm* Weight: Approx. 500 g* Mount: Sony FE. tradeinn Techinn
