We would suggest storing the mop head facing down in the bucket, so there can be no drips down the handle. Always ensure that the handle is not left in water between uses Wringing to be done for long enough if there is still water within the pad. As the mop head is made of microfiber, it collects up and absorbs a lot of water during the first few uses and therefore may need to be wrung numerous times to get rid of the excess water, ensure that the whole of the mop refill is within the wringer and that water is not above the MAX line, as this also allows the mop head to collect up the water and not wring it out
