Tony's TipsCalcium Sulphate Gypsum adds "Hardness" to Water which will increase the Potential Homebrewing Properties of the brewing Water. It probably doesn't do to know too much about the Gypsum ingredient, the basis for compounds like Chalk, Plaster and Alabaster, although it's the "Calcium" content that makes the difference and is effective in warding off other possible contaminates in the brew. Don't however, over-do the dosage, you don't want to get "Chalked up", "Plastered" (or Ala-bastard!)
