This design philosophy is so effective that it has been integrated across Völkl´s lineup, demonstrating a commitment to versatile and intuitive ski performance, from high-energy freeride to ascent-focused touring. For instance, consider how this technology is applied in a different context:When your main focus is on the ascent but you´re still looking for a ski with great downhill performance, the Rise Up 82 is the perfect choice. For the first time, Völkl has incorporated the 3D radius sidecut derived from freeride and all-mountain skis like the Mantra and the Peregrine into its touring skis. This design combines three different radii, which are fluidly interconnected over the entire length of the ski. This means the curve behaviour is adapted to the dominant waist radius depending on the edge angle. The result is smooth rides at high speeds and a refusal to be unsettled, even in demanding off-piste conditions.A multi-layer wood core makes the ski incredibly light while still providing reliable downhill performance.A full sidewall gives the ski stability and resilience. The Rise Up 82 naturally also features the Smart Skin Clip system, which is compatible with both Tech Fibre and Smart Glue skins. While the touring application demonstrates the technology´s adaptability, the M7 Mantra harnesses this multi-radius design to deliver maximum downhill dominance. This allows you to seamlessly transition between long, powerful, high-speed arcs on open faces and quick, agile, short-radius turns in tight chutes or moguls. This intuitive behavior means the ski feels perfectly matched to your intent, no matter the terrain or speed. For the advanced skier looking for a single ski to handle every challenge the mountain presents, the Völkl M7 Mantra remains the undisputed champion, offering a ride that is powerful, predictable, and endlessly fun. tradeinn Snowinn
