This lure is part of Westin´s innovative Ready to Fish (R2F) series, meaning it comes perfectly pre-rigged and balanced right out of the package. You can spend less time setting up and more time catching fish. The design of the Gunnar The Goby is the result of meticulous observation of its natural counterpart. Its body features a realistic, flat-bottomed goby profile that allows it to rest on the lake or river bed in a natural posture, mimicking a goby scanning for danger. This unique shape also creates a distinctive action in the water. When jigged or twitched, it hops and darts erratically, perfectly replicating the panicked movements of a fleeing baitfish. The large, active eyes serve as a primary strike point, drawing in predators from a distance and sealing the deal for a committed bite. One of the standout features of this exceptional lure is its unique tail action. Unlike lures with aggressive paddle tails, the Gunnar The Goby boasts a subtle, flickering tail that produces a more natural and enticing quivering motion. This delicate action is incredibly effective in clear water or on days when fish are finicky and easily spooked by overly aggressive presentations. The flexibility of the body has been optimized to ensure maximum action with minimal effort, allowing the lure to come alive even on a slow retrieve or with the slightest twitch of the rod tip. Each lure is adorned with detailed, hand-painted colors, further enhancing its lifelike appearance and ensuring there´s a perfect pattern for every water condition and clarity. The R2F concept is a game-changer for anglers of all skill levels. The 6g 65mm Gunnar The Goby is pre-fitted with a precisely matched jig head and an ultra-sharp, custom-made carbon steel hook.
