WESTIN Platypus Suspending Minnow 56g 160mmUnleash the Predator-Triggering Power of a Legendary LureExperience the pinnacle of lure design with the WESTIN Platypus Suspending Minnow. This 160mm model is a direct descendant of a legendary pursuit of perfection. The story of the Platypus began with renowned lure designer Allan Christensen, who, after an exhaustive process of creating 32 different prototypes and dedicating countless hours to testing and refinement, finally achieved the ultimate swimming action. This lure carries that same DNA of excellence, engineered to dominate the water and provoke strikes from the most discerning predators. As a key member of the acclaimed Platypus family, this 160mm version delivers one of the most seductive and effective rolling and belly-flashing swimming actions ever witnessed. On a straight retrieve or with subtle twitches of the rod tip, it exhibits a lifelike dance that perfectly mimics a wounded or panicked baitfish. This pronounced roll generates an incredible amount of flash, sending out visual signals that big fish simply cannot ignore. It´s a proven trigger for aggressive territorial and feeding responses from apex predators like pike, zander, and musky. The genius of the Platypus lies in its perfect suspension. When you pause your retrieve, the lure doesn´t float to the surface or sink to the bottom. Instead, it hangs motionless in the strike zone, tantalizing any following fish and giving them the perfect opportunity to commit. This ability to hover in place is often the key to converting a curious follower into a vicious strike. Operating flawlessly within a running depth of 0.5 to 2 meters, it is the ideal tool for targeting fish holding along weed edges, drop-offs, and submerged structures.Attraction is a multi-sensory experience, and the Platypus excels at stimulating them all. It is equipped with the signature Westin Optic Eyes, which are meticulously crafted from colored optical fiber. This unique material gathers ambient light and reflects it with an almost illuminating effect, creating a hyper-realistic and irresistible target point for predators to focus on. To complement the visual appeal, an internal Ultra Sonic rattle ball emits a distinct, low-frequency sound that travels effectively through the water, calling fish in from a distance and piquing their curiosity even in stained water or low-light conditions.Built to withstand the brutal force of monster fish, this lure is a testament to durability. Its foundation is a full wire-through-body construction, ensuring an unbreakable connection between your line and the hooks, giving you the utmost confidence during intense battles. This robust framework is encased in a tough, high-impact ABS plastic body designed to endure vicious attacks from toothy predators time and time again. Rigged with premium, Japanese-style carbon steel hooks, the Platypus ensures that when a fish strikes, the hookset is swift, secure, and reliable.Technical Specifications:* Model: Platypus Suspending Minnow* Length: 160 mm (Attribute Class: 151-205 mm)* Weight: 56g (Attribute Class: 50-99 gr)* Material: High-Impact ABS Plastic* Construction: Lead-Free, Full Wire-Through-Body* Action: Suspending* Running Depth: 0.5 - 2 meters* Hook Size: 6 / 4* Features: Westin Optic Eyes, Ultra Sonic Rattle Ball. tradeinn Waveinn
