Chopped Mixed Peel: Orange and lemon peels are included in our mixed peel, which is wonderful for adding a touch of additional zest and texture to baking. Mixed peel gives a little extra flavour to homemade hot cross buns, and garnish for cakes and pies. HIGH-QUALITY INGREDIENTS: The zest is the coloured outermost portion of the peel that is scraped off and used for its tangy flavour. While candied, the fleshy white component of the peel is usually bitter when raw but becomes sweet when cooked with sugar. It's best used to decorate cakes, ice cream, fruit custards, and puddings. Chopped candied peel goes great with morning juice, cereal, and orange peels in fresh orange juice. Our GMO-free, vegan friendly.
