Prevents holes in shirts. Machine washable and dryer-safe. Tested up to 100 wash and dry cycles. They are meant to be comfortable, you don't want them to fall off, so it takes a little effort to put them on the button (but we think it's worth it). Over time, button caps carry wear instead of your shirts. When the covers start to wear thin, it's time to replace them to keep storing your shirts. One size fits most standard size jeans/pants buttons 14mm(about 1/2") stretchable to 22mm(about 3/4"). Fully Covered Buttons - Gently stretch the button cover to start. Pull back one side of the cover (so it's almost upside down) and place the edge of your button inside the silicone cover. Let the lid close around the button. Finish covering the button by slightly pulling the lid over the rest of the button until it is in place. We don't want the covers to slip off, so it takes a little effort to cover the button.
