The screws feature an Elementech 400 anti-corrosive coating that is salt spray tested and environmentally friendly, and the coating lasts longer than standard zinc coatings. They are capable of piercing 0.8 mm steel. Notable design details include six underhead lobes for improved countersinking and reduced surface dust, reinforced countersunk necks for added holding power, an anti-friction thread to minimize timber splitting and improve drawing strength, a serrated thread for better pull-out and reduced torque during insertion, and a double cutting point for faster drilling and reduced clogging of wood dust.
