The Yale 85 series deadlocking nightlatch is designed for front doors and is operated by a key from the outside and a lever handle from the inside. The latch automatically deadlocks when the door closes, and a snib function allows the latch to be held back. The inside handle can also be deadlocked by a reverse turn of the key, providing added security so the latch cannot be opened from the inside when deadlocked.
