MALT BREW - As with all Yebisu beers, it is an all malt brew, roasted to impart colour and flavour and giving the Premium Black name. It pours out a coffee brown. The nose gives off a charred aroma that really opens up in the glass to a roasted malt. BITTERNESS - For a dark beer, it sticks to the roasted malt side, there isn’t much of a coffee or chocolate flavour you might expect from a stout. There’s a lot of bitterness and acidity.
