Zinsser Cover Stain - Primer Sealer - 2.5 Litre

Zinsser Cover Stain is a versatile interior and exterior primer, sealer, stain blocker, and bond coat that dries to allow a recoat in about two hours. It effectively seals nicotine, water and other stains, helping topcoats stay blemish-free. This product is particularly suitable for new wood trim, enabling priming, sanding and topcoating on the same day, saving time and materials. It penetrates and flexes on all surfaces, with especial efficacy on dimensionally unstable wood paneling and trim where oil-based primers can struggle. The formulation provides blocking power for stains and works well in low temperatures, making it a practical choice for a range of projects.

The primer can be tinted to mid-tone colours and covers up to 9.8 m² per litre. It is solvent-based with built-in stain blocker, ensuring adhesion to diverse surfaces and providing effective seal against water, smoke and nicotine stains. Suitable for interior and exterior projects, it can be applied using an airless sprayer, brush, pad or roller and is designed to stick to all surfaces.

Usage

1. Apply using an airless sprayer, brush, pad or roller.
2. Recoat after approximately two hours.
