PRODUCER - Established in 1638 by Christiano Kopke and his son, Nicolau Kopke. They came to Portugal as representatives of the Hanseatic League. The House of Kopke is the eldest porto wine export firm. TASTING NOTES - With a light amber colour, its nose reveals elegance and character, with the aromas of dried fruit intertwining with hints of chocolate and coffee. On the palate, it is enticing, silky and appealing. It shows great acidity, good structure and arresting finesse. A delicious and persistent finish. PAIRING - Served chilled, it reveals all its finesse and sophistication, especially when drunk with desserts made with caramel, dried fruit and spice, such as caramel fondant with apple and ginger jelly, tarte tatin, crème brulée and medium-strength cheeses SERVE - Serve this port at a temperature between 12 and 14°C.
