1987 Studio Pottery Presentation Pack. British Presentation Packs catalogue number PP159 (printed no. 184) Issued by the Royal Mail on 13th October 1987. This pack contains a set of four mint stamps, which were produced to commemorate the Centenary of the birth of Bernard Leach and the renaissance of British studio pottery was commemorated by this issue showing distinctive pottery. Leach died aged 92, and was famed for his work in teaching and writing books on pottery. The pack discusses the history of British studio pottery and its development in the hands of several other influential potters.
