This makes the brackets very sturdy and lightweight. Safety mechanism: The brackets are equipped with a hinged safety mechanism with a small foot stop. The weight of the rider ensures that the stirrup opens in the event of a fall. This way the foot does not get stuck in the bracket. The foot stop ensures that the bracket only opens when absolutely necessary. Once the foot has left the stirrup, the stirrup closes easily with a click. The hinged part is located at the top to prevent sand or dirt from interfering with operation. Product features: The wide stainless steel non-slip arch sole has a coarse profile and extra long holes for sand and water drainage. The arch sole is slightly tilted, so that the heel is held down. The beveled stirrup strap suspension ensures a good stirrup position, keeping the foot in the correct position. This gives the rider more stability and improves leg position.

New premium model of our patented, laterally opening Arena stirrups, completely made of certified high-grade anodised Aluminium and fitted with a stainless steel tread. Acavallo has carefully chosen and combined the materials used, following detailed research and comprehensive testing. The Aluminium, besides giving the stirrup a sleek and elegant appearance, is lightweight and extremely durable, while the stainless steel protects the tread from corrosion, guaranteeing a long life of the product, too. The opening of the stress-actuated locking and release mechanism is located a centimetre higher from the tread to ensure that the foot cannot slip out laterally by mistake and to prevent sand and dirt from delaying the opening action of the arm in case of an emergency. Long holes in the tread prevent sand and dirt accumulations so that the gripping effect is not compromised and a five degree inclination of the tread helps riders to assume the correct posture, relieving tension in their ankles, calves, knees and hips.
