Arran 15 Year Old Rare Batch Peated Sherry Butts 54.4% 70cl

This Arran single malt bursts with aromas of wood smoke, dark chocolate, ash, orange oils, and dried fruit and nuts. It was peated to 20ppm and aged in oloroso sherry butts for 15 years. Nose: Citrus fruits, brown sugar, oak. Dry bonfire smoke. Palate: Smooth and rich. Very oak forward, sweet citrus fruits coming through with a hint of spice. Finish: Long finish with lots of oak. Initial sweetness turning into dry smoke which lingers. Complex layers - a drop of water opens up red fruits.
