A wonderfully fragrant, warming and complex French liqueur that's made with just three ingredients; fig leaves, spring honey and French cognac Audemus set out to translate the aroma of fig trees, which grow abundantly in France, into flavour. The fig leaves are harvested during the brief period where they are at their most aromatic. The fig leaves are air dried, lightly roasted by hand and transformed into this richly flavoured fig liqueur after adding just the two other aromatic ingredients, and a small amount of cane sugar On first sip, Covert has a deep musky aroma, balanced with the brightness of fruit. It has notes of jammy figs which are balanced by the drier flavours of toasted almonds and rye The aroma of honey lingers, contrasted with a teasing bitterness on the tongue.
