A medium dry sherry produced in Sanlucar de Barrameda, located on the Atlantic coast in the classic sherry producing region in Jerez, South West Spain. Serve with Iberian ham or with rich seafood dishes. Owned by the Barbadillo family since 1821, 7 generations of family sherry production. Aged for 3 years in sherry butts (casks), firstly under a film of 'flor' yeast to develop bready/brioche flavours and then exposed to oxygen to develop dried fruit and nut flavours. Bodegas Barbadillo is the world's leading manzanilla producer. They have 12 bodegas spread across the ancient city of Sanlucar de Barrameda. These bodegas contain 30,000 butts of sherry. Tasting note: Medium dry with a beautiful amber colour, a rich hazelnut nose and hints of flor ageing. On the palate it is rich and full with roast apple and nutty-oak.
