Bedec Barn Paint is a tough, water-based acrylic coating designed for exterior surfaces across a range of substrates. Offered with a semi-gloss finish, it delivers strong colour retention and protective coverage for exterior buildings such as barns, stables, sheds and other outbuildings. The paint can be applied to wood, plastic, galvanised steel, brick, concrete and cladding, and remains suitable for surfaces that have previous coatings, including weathered bitumen, tar or varnish. It is noted for its low odour profile and self-priming properties, helping to reduce preparation steps in many projects. When used on untreated weathered wood or other porous substrates, the first coat should be diluted with up to 30% clean water as a primer sealer, and knots can be further minimised by applying an exterior knot block primer before painting. Key performance characteristics include resistance to cracking, blistering and flaking, and a touch-dry time of around two hours with re-coats possible after approximately four hours. The product is designed for use in temperatures above 10°C and can be applied by brush, roller or spray, making it suitable for a variety of exterior painting scenarios.
