The device will trigger when a build of heat is detected from a fire. 10 YEAR SEALED LITHIUM BATTERY: The sealed, tamper proof 10 year lithium battery lasts the life of the alarm, the alarm will indicate when the alarm needs replacing. ALARM MEMORY: If the heat alarm activates in your absence, the alarm will continue to alert until the heat levels return to normal. The red alarm indicator will continue to flash once every 4 seconds for 72 hours following activation to show raising heat has been detected and the alarm has activated. EASY SET UP GUIDE: Insert the alarm onto the activation back base plate and twist the alarm firmly clockwise until you hear a ’CLICK’ then press and HOLD the test button for at least 3 SECONDS until you hear the alarm sound.
