The first single malt whisky from Slovenia, crafted in Ljubljana by Broken Bones Distillery. A smooth, complex, and elegant whisky with a unique character connected to its land of origin. SLOVENIAN & AMERICAN OAK MATURATION - Matured in a carefully selected combination of Slovenian sessile oak barrels, previously used for wine brandy, and American white oak bourbon barrels. The Slovenian oak imparts distinctive fruity and floral notes, while the American oak adds vanilla and sweetness for a beautifully balanced single malt. DOUBLE POT STILL DISTILLED - Slow double pot still distillation for maximum character and depth. New make spirit is diluted to 62.5% before filling barrels, the optimal strength for maturation. Non-chill filtered with no added colouring. Small batch production, each batch unique. COMPLEX TASTING PROFILE - Nose: light barley, newly cut grass, dandelion and yellow flowers, baked rhubarb tart. Palate: spicy caramel, honey, toffee apple, nougat, hints of tobacco and liquorice, with clove, caraway, and pepper. Finish: long, with restrained oak, coffee, and maple syrup.
