BUNNAHABHAIN - Multi Award-Winning Islay Distillery. PEATED WHISKY - 1997 was the year Bunnahabhain started experimenting with peated spirit again after a hiatus of almost 35 years. It would not become a permanent part of production until 2003 meaning some of this 1997 stock is now quite rare to see, especially bottled by the distillery itself. 22 YEAR OLD - Matured in a single Pedro Ximenez cask until it was bottled in January 2020. TASTING NOTES - Aromas of toffee, dried fruits, roasted nuts and chocolate on the nose, complemented by notes of raisins, sultanas, honeyed dates, coffee and salted caramel chocolate.
