The DS4 composite body provides a solid and durable foundation, housing the precision gearing with absolute rigidity. This frame supports a lightweight yet incredibly stiff Zaïon V rotor, a design that minimizes inertia and provides an exceptionally smooth, responsive feel on the retrieve. This combination ensures that the reel remains robust under the strain of casting heavy loads and battling powerful fish, without causing fatigue during long sessions.Control is paramount in carp fishing, and the Whisker excels with its re-engineered Quick Drag (QD) front brake system. This latest iteration has been meticulously reworked to enhance its progressivity, allowing for micro-adjustments with incredible precision. Anglers can transition from a free-spooling state to a full fighting drag with just a fraction of a turn, offering immediate and confident control the moment a fish takes the bait. The winding by crossed turns technology ensures impeccable line lay, which is crucial for achieving maximum casting distance and preventing tangles, especially with finer braids or monofilaments. This perfect line management works in synergy with the aluminum, Long Cast profile spool to reduce friction and allow the line to peel off effortlessly.Practicality on the bank is enhanced by thoughtful design elements. The crank is collapsible for easy and secure storage in carry cases, protecting the reel during transport. The 'One Touch' folding aluminum handle is not only robust but also allows for rapid deployment and packing away. To ensure ultimate versatility, the reel is delivered with two additional spools. This allows anglers to quickly adapt to changing conditions by switching between different line types or breaking strains. Crucially, one of these spools offers a massive capacity of 700m of 0.35mm line, providing more than enough backing to confidently fish in very large reservoirs or for anglers who deploy baits at extreme ranges with a boat.Features:* Quick Drag brake* Bearings: 7 + 1* DS4 composite frame and Zaion V rotor* Aluminum coil, Long Cast profile* Winding by crossed turns* 'One Touch' folding aluminum handle. tradeinn Waveinn
