Carpathian Burgundy Single Malt Whisky 700ml 46% ABV (Romanian Whisky)

Carpathian Single Malt is distilled, matured and bottled at the Alexandrion Saber 1789 Distillery, located near the Carpathian Mountains. It is made using 100% malted barley produced in Romania, with sub-Carpathian water, and it is bottled at 46% ABV. The whisky has been under the stewardship of master distiller Allan Anderson, who holds more than 30-years’ experience in Scotch whisky and Irish whiskey distillation. Carpathian Burgundy Single Malt Romanian Whisky, part of the French Cask Collection is a non-chill filtered & finished in hand selected 225L European oak barrels previously holding French Burgundy wine. Deep copper in colour this whisky has notes of oak, berries, honey and vanilla with a lingering sweet full-bodied taste compounded by having spent its initial three years in 53- gallon 1st fill American white oak ex-Kentucky bourbon barrels. Nose: Medium intensity, with notes of vanilla and honey. Taste: Sweet, woody, with a discreet blackberry aroma Finish: Sweet, round long and complex.
