Amazon CASHMERE AND MERINO, 4 PLY: 80% extrafine merino virgin wool, 20% cashmere, spun in Italy by Lana Gatto. 50 g balls, 200 m each; 4 ply weight for 3 to 3.5 mm needles or hook. This pack: 2 balls, 100 g, 400 m. THE SOFTEST OF THE RANGE: cashmere adds a downy softness and warmth that merino alone cannot give; the extrafine merino keeps the yarn elastic and hard-wearing. Itch-free, ideal for scarves, jumpers and baby knits worn next to the skin. LIGHT AND WARM: 200 m per 50 g means a fine, light fabric with excellent drape that is still very warm, the classic weight for shawls, lightweight jumpers, cardigans, socks and heirloom baby garments. SHRINK RESISTANT, EASY CARE: the fibre is treated to resist shrinking. Hand wash in lukewarm water, dry flat, do not tumble dry, iron on low. Same colour and dye lot in every pack.
