ORIGIN: This tea is grown in the mountainous regions of Sri Lanka (formerly Ceylon). The high altItude above 1,200 meters or 4,000 feet, combined with cool temperatures, mist, and rich soil conditions contributes to the unique flavour profile of Ceylon highland teas. ABOUT: Our Ceylon Highlands FBOP1 loose leaf is a medium-bodied tea, providing a rich mouthfeel without being overly astringent. The flavour is well-rounded, malty, brisk with subtle floral notes. BENEFITS: Ceylon tea contains antioxidants. It is also known to contain higher levels of potassium than other black teas – one cup can have up to 25mg of potassium (this tea has not been tested for potassium content). Its moderate-to-high caffeine levels may provide an energy boost. USES: This tea is versatile and can be enjoyed on its own or with milk and sugar, making it suitable for both traditional Western-style tea preparation and Eastern-style tea consumption. BREWING: Allow 1- 1½ teaspoon per cup. Pour the freshly boiled water onto the leaves. Steep for 3 to 5 minutes. The brewing time and water temperature can be adjusted based on personal preferences.
