Two piece thread cutting hand tap set, comprising of a taper tap and plug tap. The taper tap has a gradual cutting action, due to the pronounced chamfer of the thread, making it suitable for starting a thread. The plug tap has far less of a chamfer and is used after the taper tap to get close to get to the bottom of the hole. Taper & plug taps, size: M6 thread x 0.75 pitch. Used with Connect adjustable tap holder, Part Nos. 37021 (M3-M12), 37022 (M6-M20); or T-type tap holder, Part No. 37020. Manufactured from alloy steel. Replacement taper & plug taps from Laser Tap & Die Sets, Part Nos. 4554 (110pc), 3246 (51pc), 2159 (40pc).
