The size of the wire rope thimble should correspond to the strength of the rope up to max. 1 mm smaller. Material: Steel Q235 galvanized (Zn) - The galvanized steel thimble is therefore relatively insensitive to external influences! Thimbles (thimbles heart) protect ropes from damage caused by friction & chafing under load. They prevent excessive bending of the rope or cable & thus a possible break. Certification: Wire rope thimble standardized according to DIN 6899 Form B - Tested quality! Use: Heart thimbles are particularly suitable for the formation & reinforcement of eyelets or eyebolts at the rope ends (rope eye). In the case of wire ropes, the thimble is clamped into the wire rope eye with a ferrule or wire rope clamp. They facilitate the attachment of bolts, shackles & clamps.
