My grandfather created the recipe for our Coquerel VSOP. He wanted to achieve the perfect harmony between the bright fruitiness of the Apple and the sweet spices notes coming from the French oak barrels. To do so, part of the eaux-de-vie is aged in heavily charred 200-liters barrels, extracting more color, spices, honey, vanilla, and silkiness. TASTING NOTES: At nose: Cooked Apple, Pepper. In Mouth: Candied Fruit, Sweet Spices. Finale: Gourmet, Dried Fruits. NORMAND MULE: 60ml Coquerel Calvados VSOP, 120ml Ginger Beer, 10ml Squeezed Lime. SQUEEZE the lime juice and place the skin in the bottom of the glass. ADD 2 or 3 ice cubes. POUR in the Calvados Coquerel VSOP. LONGER with Ginger Beer. DECORATE with apple and lemon slices.
