EHEIM Shut-off Tap for Hose Ø 12/16mm | Quick Release Double TapTransform your aquarium maintenance from a chore into a simple, clean, and effortless task with the EHEIM Shut-off Tap for 12/16mm hoses. This essential accessory is a game-changer for any aquarist using an external canister filter, providing unparalleled control and convenience.Tired of messy water spills, difficult hose management, and the tedious process of re-priming your filter after every cleaning? The EHEIM Quick Release Double Tap is the definitive solution. Engineered with legendary German precision, this shut-off tap allows you to disconnect your filter from the aquarium´s plumbing system cleanly and safely, without losing a single drop of water. It is the perfect upgrade for a stress-free and efficient maintenance routine, allowing you to spend more time enjoying your vibrant underwater world. The core of this system is its intelligent double-valve design. By installing a tap on both the intake and outflow hoses of your canister filter, you gain complete control over the water flow. When it´s time to clean your filter, simply turn both levers to the closed position. This instantly stops the water flow and seals both the hose leading to the aquarium and the hose connected to your filter. You can then unscrew the secure union nut at the center, separating the two halves. The filter can now be moved for maintenance, full of water, while the hoses remain in place on the aquarium, also full of water. This brilliant design completely eliminates spills, the need for buckets to catch dripping water, and prevents air from entering the system, meaning no more frustrating re-priming is necessary. As described by the brand, this functionality is seamless: EHEIM Quick Release Double Tap With a flick of the wrist, you can disconnect and connect the hose safely, cleanly and without water backflow. Used with EHEIM quality hoses, they make perfectly safe and functional hose connections. Available in different sizes and types.Key Benefits & Main Features:* Spill-Free Maintenance: The dual shut-off levers and secure locking mechanism guarantee a 100% watertight seal, allowing you to disconnect your filter without any water spillage or mess.* Effortless Disconnection: The quick-release coupling enables you to separate and reconnect your filter from its hosing in mere seconds with a simple unscrewing motion.* No Re-Priming Required: By keeping water trapped in both the filter and the hoses, the system prevents air locks.
